Rovner was founded in 1974 by Phil Rovner, a musician himself who had an extensive background in mechanical engineering and acoustic technology. The Dark was the first Rovner ligature which was ground breaking in its day and this has been followed by many other original and innovative designs.

Rovner ligatures are used by students through to top professionals and are sold throughout the world. There are two series of Rovner Ligatures, the ‘Classic models’ and the ‘Next Generation Models’ .
