This section is for short term event hire, such as a concert or wedding. For student rental please see rental and buy back.
We can hire most instruments, but the things we are asked for most are:
Portable Digital Piano
This is supplied with a padded bag which protects the piano and enables easy transportation. These can be collected and transported by most people with a car. We supply this complete with a stand for the piano, pedal, music stand and stool. An additional amplifier can be supplied at extra cost.
Cost for 1 weeks hire £70.00
Digital Piano with built in stand
These are larger and heavier than the portable units above. The look of these creates greater impact. The speakers are also more powerfull. There are different models to suit every occasion, including the Kawai CA-5 and CA-7 which have wooden keys to give the best feel possible. The basic hire price of these is;
£80.00 per week
Please note that you will either need a van to transport these or we can arrange transport for you, the cost of this will depend on the location. (within 15 miles ground floor is usually £130.00 for delivery and collection.
Upright Piano Hire
We can supply a good upright if you would rather have a traditional piano at your event. The cost for this includes delivery and collection, a tuning at your events location (necessary after the piano has been moved) and a piano stool. The price below is fully inclusive up to 15 miles radius (excludes Ilse of Wight )
For up to 1 week £280.00
Grand Piano Hire
The ultimate in sound and looks! We usually supply a Yamaha 6 foot grand piano in black polish.The cost for this includes delivery and collection (ground floor), a tuning at your events location (necessary after the piano has been moved) and a piano stool. The price below is fully inclusive ground floor deliveries up to 15 miles radius (excludes Ilse of Wight )
For up to one week £420.00
How to hire
Please book as early as possible to avoid dissapointment. You can put down a small deposit to ensure that an instrument is available for you on a particular date. This can be done by credit card over the phone. In the case of weddings for example, people often book 6 months in advance
You will need to come into our shop in Portsmouth and sign a hire agreement.
You will also need to provide full identification in the form of:
1. Photo identification (new style driving licence or passport,)
2. A recent bill sent to your home address that clearly shows your name. (electricity, gas, council tax, telephone, etc)
3. If you are not sure that your I.D. will comply with what we need, we would strongly advise you to phone first.
We require payment by credit or debit card in advance.
