Vandoren offer a wide range of clarinet mouthpieces, and this table will give an indication as to the type of player and music each mouthpiece is suited to.

The table contains information relating to the tip opening, facing length, and beak types the mouthpiece is available in. It will also include a brief comment on what type of music/player the mouthpiece is best
suited to.

Tip opening
This refers to the distance between the reed and the mouthpiece tip.

Open: Greater resistance offered, generally requires a softer, more flexible reed.
Close: Frequently used by beginners as lesser resistance is offered. Also used for more advanced players with harder reeds where a greater amount of control is needed.
