Vandoren 56 Rue Lepic Bb Clarinet Reeds
Vandoren Says:
56 Rue Lepic, The home of Vandoren, has long been the mecca of reed inovation. It seems only fitting that the newest reed bear the name of such a significant location. Introducing the all new 56 Lepic Clarinet Reed. Designed from thicker cane, the 56 emits a rich centred and extremely pure sound while providing maximum stability in all registers. Its quick response ensures pricision in the most difficult passages without sacrificing the extrordinary round and warm sound.
56 Lepic Reeds are available in strengths 2.5, 3, 3.5, 3.5+, 4, 4.5, 5.
The 56 Rue Lepic sound is more compact and has more timbre.
Vandoren V12 Bb Clarinet Reeds
Vandoren Says:
V.12 Reeds are manufactured from cane tubes of the same diameter as those used for saxophone reeds. This leads to a much higher manufacturing cost as large diameter cane is more rare.
V12 Reeds are thicker at each end: thickness at the Tip .10mm (0.124") Thickness at the heel 3.15mm (0.124") hence the name V12.
The V12 is available in Strengths 2.5 to 5+ (2.5. 3, 3.5, 3.5+, 4, 4.5, 5, 5+)
In comparing strengths, a V12 no4 is almost equal to a traditional strength 3.5.
The tone of the V.12 is generally bigger and more consistent than that of the Traditional reed.
